On European Researchers’ Night 2025 the members of ToEQPL took part in the open-doors event at the facilities of ISSPUL. Dedicated experiments and demonstrations were prepared for public visitors, which introduced them to basic principles of quantum data encryption and security. The advantages of quantum technology over the currently applied conventional methods were explained through interactive activities. The event was visited by 800 people, covering all demographic groups, thus popularizing the field of quantum photonics among the Latvian public.
